Job Description:

Description We are seeking an Optical Engineer Intern to join our team in the summer of 2025. This internship will provide hands-on experience in optical system design, integration, manufacturing, and testing for space applications. The selected intern will work with industry-standard tools, perform data analysis, and gain valuable knowledge in system design and operations. Primary Responsibilities:

• Supporting the manufacturing and testing of optical components/systems.
• Working in a small team environment under the mentorship of Optical Engineering professionals.
• Documenting designs and corresponding analyses.
• Conducting product performance testing and analyzing measurement data. Basic Qualifications
  • Rising senior in Optical Engineering, Physics, or Astronomy.
  • Completion of at least three optics-related courses.
  • Basic knowledge of geometrical optics.
  • Working knowledge of optical laboratory setups and operations. Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with optical CAD and programming software.
    • Basic understanding of stray light. Original Posting Date: 2024-10-07 Pay Range: $44,850.00 - $81,075.00 The pay range for this position is a general guideline and is subject to factors such as education, experience, skills, and market data.
